Certificate Renewal

Renewing a certificate is the process of extending the validity period. It means creating a new certificate with the same name, key, and other information as the old one, but with a new, extended validity period and a new serial number. 

This can only be done prior to expiry of the certificate.

How to renew a Digital Certificate 
  1. The subscriber shall notify the Authorized Organization Representative of the renewal.
  2. The  Authorized Organization Representative will make an application for renewal of an already issued digital certificate prior to the expiration date.
  3. The GovCA will renew the digital certificate.
