Certificate Renewal
Renewing a certificate is the process of extending the validity period. It means creating a new certificate with the same name, key, and other information as the old one, but with a new, extended validity period and a new serial number.
This can only be done prior to expiry of the certificate.
How to renew a Digital Certificate
- The subscriber shall notify the Authorized Organization Representative of the renewal.
- The Authorized Organization Representative will make an application for renewal of an already issued digital certificate prior to the expiration date.
- The GovCA will renew the digital certificate.
